0200 Hours - Kidnapping of Captain Holly Short - Southeast Ireland, Europe
After leaving the location of the rogue troll incident detailed in my previous report, I made my way to Southeast Ireland to perform the Ritual on orders of Commander Root. Commander Root's exact words to me were, "Now get out of here, and don't come back until you're full to the tips of your ears with magic!". I chose to visit a remote ritual site on the southeast coast of Ireland because I didn't want to run into all the crazy full moon pixies at Tara.
Once at the site, I removed my helmet and set down my gun (against regulations, but everybody does it!) and proceeded to locate an acorn. As I bent down to return the acorn to the earth, something whizzed past my shoulder and I realized I was under fire. A mountain sized man (later to be identified as Butler) disarmed me and a clearly insane boy (later to be identified as Artemis Fowl II) demanded my surrender. I attempted a mesmer on the two criminals, but both wore mirrored glasses that reflected the magic. After that, I felt the prick of a hypodermic needle and everything went black.
