2000 Hours - Rogue Troll - Southern Italy, Europe
I was with Commander Root when a call came in about a rogue troll. I was told to go topside, do a thorough reconnaissance, and then check in and wait for the retrieval squad. However, after reaching the mark, I determined that the troll was an immediate threat to humans. The troll had broken through the wall of an Italian restaurant open late for dinner. I heard an Italian child scream for help and took that as an invitation into the human dwelling. The noise from the diners and light from being topside had driven the troll crazy and the beast was about to strike. After an initial burst from my ion gun, I expected the troll to fall, but his hard head deflected the burst and he kept going. Because I had, ahem, forgotten to perform the Ritual for the past 4 years, my invisibility shield was down and I was forced into contact with the troll. After a brief skirmish I was able to blind the troll with the spotlights on my visor, which sent the troll into shock and paralysis. After neutralizing the troll, I used fairy tech to knock the human diners unconscious and apparently passed out. First on scene after myself was Commander Root followed by a Retrieval Squad and the tech boys who successfully performed mind wipes on the humans. Below is a police sketch of the rogue troll.
